before I was born?
Who decides which road
one should take&
whether to be happy?
Obsessions emerge,
resist the squalls,
resist cutting yourself in half,
twist into a bow instead.
A dragonfly darts over the pond. Light reflects on iridescent wings, scatters into rainbow-coloured sparks, amidst a quaint landscape of gnarled trees, golden pastures and cabbage whites chasing the scent of meadowsweet, reminding me of who I really am.
