I'm finally ready to call this project done. "Facets" releases on Tuesday, Apr 29!
An outgrowth of one of my #jamuary2025 tracks by the same name, this project exists as a sort of fractal expansion of the ideas in that original track. Somewhere between #techno and #ambient, I'm excited for you to hear it!

#Jamuary2025 summary
As predicted, I couldn't make one track per day, but at least it got me started to make *something*, and also a good opportunity for experimenting.
Here's a playlist of my three favourites. I'll eventually re-record and remix some parts to release them properly, but these raw versions are good enough for me to have listened to on repeat for days on end.

Well, we've come to the last day of #jamuary , and it's always a bittersweet day. It's a bit of a relief to take a break, but the experience of maxing out creative output is always exhilarating, so I'm always a bit sad to feel that taper off.
For the final track* I decided to try to make a track with as many reversed sounds as good taste would allow, and here's the result:

For today's #jamuary track, I realized that I haven’t done any sort of techno this year! I decided to address that with a very laid back track. I always have Jeremy Blake’s “Cast in Amber” in mind when I set out to make a track like this. It’s the album that got me interested enough in making electronic music to go out and actually buy a synth:
