'Not realistic': #SaugeenOjibwayNation may not vote on #NuclearWaste plan in 2024

"In January 2020, members of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation voted overwhelmingly against plans to bury #Ontario’s low and intermediate level nuclear waste within two kilometres of #LakeHuron.
"Nadjiwon said while this project is different, the biggest question facing SON voters will be whether containing the radioactive waste in underground containers is the safest thing to do.
'“You’ve got to ask yourself the question: if they do break down, what is the risk of that un-contained radioactive waste getting to the surface, where it could have an impact?' asked Nadjiwon."

Lake Huron Boardwalk
This is the boardwalk that leads down to the water on Duncan Bay at Cheboygan State Park in Cheboygan Michigan.
I spent many summer days swimming at Duncan Bay. I was definitely feeling nostalgic as I walked the beach with my wife.
We had a nice stroll until the upcoming storm started sprinkling on us. Wonderful stroll none the less.

Four more sunset photos from the tip of the Thumb for Day Four of my #ArtAdventCalendar -- one from the Port Austin Breakwall on Feb. 3, 2024, and three from Port Crescent State Park on May 3, 2024. These two weekend trips up to the Thumb were real respites for my wife and I during a difficult year, and the light in the skies on each occasion was a special treat.
