As a #programmer but #beginner I already know that documentation is important: that's why I'll make a website to document my adventures and potential progress.
If you have any resources that you think could help me, do not hesitate a second!
If you have any tools to advise, do not hesitate a second!
I'm considering using #fedora #Kinoite with #toolbx or something like #RockyLinux (but if you have other distros to advise, tell me) with
#kdevelop #codelite for C++, #spyder or #pycharm for Python
and #rustrover or #lapce for Rust
and
#kateeditor for simple file edition.

@robcornelius You can try https://github.com/lapce/lapce.
But I am not sure wether react is atually supported. But that editor is fast. Clutterfree, in ways similar to VSCode. Languageserver support. And full open source, written in rust and GPU accelerated. It’s worth to give it a try. Development is active, so it evolves.
I made my first contribution to Lapce
https://github.com/lapce/lapce/pull/3495
Lapce is a lightning-fast and Powerful Code Editor written in Rust
@ikt Jusqu'ici oui Il faut que je teste un peu plus, en ce moment je regarde Zed et #Lapce [ https://lapce.dev ]
@moonwalker what's the cons/pros of #lapce and #cherrytree?
I never used them...
#Neovim is my editor of choice, even for HTML, because plugins are available for it.
Damn, Lapce is amazing! I'll try it for a week and see if I can finally replace vscode.
Big shoutout to the Lapce's Team!

Have been trying out #zededitor (https://zed.dev) on #linux and gotta say it's a really nice editor. The editor still feels like beta software, very similar feeling to #Lapce (https://lapce.dev/), but way less buggy.
Introducing #Lapce: https://bit.ly/3T46WwE
Written in #Rustlang, Lapce sports a native GUI leveraging GPU acceleration and an extensible plugin system based on WASI. It comes with support for syntax highlighting, code completion, and code diagnostics using any LSP-compliant server.
@xgebi I'm using #Helix https://helix-editor.com/ because it has great integration with language servers including rust-analyzer, but has completely different usage idioms. Other editors to try out would be #GnomeBuilder https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Builder or #Lapce https://lapce.dev/ - no idea about the current state though due to me not using them on a daily basis.
Has been released Lapce v0.3.0
Lapce (IPA: /læps/) is a modern Open Source, Lightning-fast, and Powerful code editor, written in pure Rust with a UI in Floem.

This morning I've finally tried #Lapce. It's still in the pre-alpha stage, but the basic functionalities you would expect in a code editor are already there and... Boy it's fast! You launch it, it opens like, immediately, and does everything else in a flash. The plugin ecosystem is still maybe a bit sparse, but we could have here a real alternative to Visual Studio Code... I wish. Time will tell. :)
https://lapce.dev/
I regularly check the #Lapce editor and it's progressing incredibly. Plugins would be nice but honestly by now I only want #DevContainers to work and I'd probably be able to switch o.O
Je teste un nouvel éditeur de texte, #Lapce, ça a l’air cool https://lapce.dev/
@derbruesseler was genau meinst du mit Alternative? VSCodium ist doch VSCode
Ich habe gehört, das #Lapce der neue heiße Scheiß unter den GUI Editoren ist, aber ist wohl noch recht am Anfang
#lapce rust based code editor looks pretty compelling tho it’s still pre-alpha
