On 7 September 2023, Minister of Transport Malaysia witnessed the Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation for the Construction of the 2.8 km long Kluang Heritage Railway Linear Park.
The linear park, to be built under the new elevated railway track, on the ground where the old railway track used to be located at, intends to change the landscape of the area to create a green and low carbon network.
