Hawaiʻi photographer Ryan Ikeuchi just melted our faces off with this retrospective IG post of the time that both Kīlauea & Mauna Loa were erupting at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, 2 years ago...AND the full moon!
This is a screenshot from IG. Find his account here: https://www.instagram.com/ryan_ikeuchi/

Reflections on the Thames (1880) by Atkinson Grimshaw (English artist, lived 1836–1893).
'Twenty bridges from Tower to Kew--
(Twenty bridges or twenty-two)--
Wanted to know what the River knew,
For they were young and the Thames was old,
And this is the tale that the River told:-- ...'
― Rudyard Kipling.
I created this for a black ink drawing challenge on Night Café. It took a couple tries to get it right (what I was imagining). I'm naturally drawn to night images with my photography, but by using AI Art, I can create what I could never legitimately photograph - a fantastical creation with multiple moons and planets in the sky. And a giant luminous moon that creates a brilliant source of light on a dark ocean landscape.
Blue Moon - Break in the clouds.
Blue Moon
A very cloudy night sky suddenly cleared around 11:30 to reveal this moon in all it’s beauty.
A blue Moon occurs when the pattern of days in a year means there are 13 full Moons instead of the usual 12. This blue Moon is also a supermoon - when the Earth's only natural satellite appears brighter than usual because it is at its closest point in its orbit around our planet.
The moon rising over Loch Buidhe early on Thursday morning. To the upper right of the moon is Pleiades, or the Seven Sisters, and further to the right is Jupiter. All creating just enough light to catch the heather in full bloom. There’s even a token Perseid meteor at the top of the picture above the moon if you look really closely #Cairngorms #Scotland #Moonscape #Jupiter #Perseid
A bright moon at Swansea last night looking out towards Freycinet and the Hazards.
