All the things I do…

...and I still sometimes feel... ...like I haven't done enough... For a while now, I have been writing some sort of "Journal" type posts here on this blog. They've been in different forms, but the last year or so (maybe even longer, I didn't really check when I started writing this), I have been sharing my journal posts on Tuesdays. Since I started my Pixy's Journey account on Mastodon, and I started to share daily journal Toots there, I have been using those Toots for the journal posts. But yeah, basically, I love 💜 to share things from my daily life. I love journalling, sharing snaps, vids, texts, adding emojis whenever I can... And sometimes, I feel like I had a day, where I didn't do enough. Of course I don't journal about everything that I do, I often stick to the basics. But even then, some days I really feel like I should have done more... […]

#Republican #women not only support certain kinds of #gun #restrictions more than Republican men do, they also mostly agree with Democratic and independent women on what those solutions should be.

Specifically, there is a whopping 20-point gap between Republican men (41%) and women (61%) on the question of restricting the ability to purchase certain types of firearms.

What’s more, the data suggest that guns are a highly #motivating #issue for women voters. Guns were the #top voting issue for 50 percent of women respondents.
This was true for 47% of Republican women and 42% of independents, just a few points higher than #abortion (49%) and the #cost of #living (48%).

POLITICOWhen It Comes to Guns, Republican Women Don’t Always Agree with Republican MenAs gun violence grows in our country, GOP women seem to be thinking more like Democratic women.

Easily forgotten:

The things that genuinely motivate people to work ten or a hundred times harder toward a common goal are human, emotional, meaningful, purposeful, empathetic.

You can achieve minor gains with the mechanical, numeric, authoritative, concrete, inhuman; and it can feel like progress. But doing those same things but *harder* turns into #demotivation.

Genuinely #motivating people is not just more and better of the same; it's an entirely different kind of #management.

I have the feeling that this is one thing that makes a #team a good team.

There are diverse people that care about different things. One might care about good software architecture. Another one about automated testing.

That way the whole team cares about all of those things. Everyone can ask someone for details about a topic. No one needs to worry about everything at once. Everyone get insights into other topics.

At least I find this very interesting and #motivating.
