Last night I created a #LEGO interpretation of my #1981 #pioneerelectronics TX-520 Stereo Tuner to go along with the SA-520 I did last weekend. Here is the rendered result. I think I’ll do the cassette, timer, and turntable next to complete the Syscom 3300 system I bought in 1981.

Over the weekend I created a #LEGO interpretation of my 1981 Pioneer SA-520 amplifier. This is the rendered result. Now I just need LEGO to make a bunch of metallic silver brick styles.
Just picked up a Kenwood KR-6400 (with Real Simulated Woodgrain™ side panels!) at Value Village for $13.99! Turns on, but just hooked it up and got no output. I imagine it just needs a new fuse (or fuses), but either way, not a bad find at all. I've been wanting to start making up for lost time and brushing up my electronics chops, so a mid-70s stereo is probably a decent place to start.
It's not in immaculate condition, but I'm not really bothered by that. Still quite a handsome unit, and definitely of greater provenance than my dad's old Koren Audio Reflex receiver (not nearly as much power though lol).
Ich würde sowas zwar aus Qualitätserwägungen nicht kaufen, finde aber krass, dass inzwischen sogar Braun-Design nachgebildet wird... (das Ding ist von Crosley).
