Galanthus Green Tear is one of the modern array of virescent snowdrops. Originally found growing in a woodland in the Netherlands. It is quite vigorous and tall for a nivalis cultivar.

Galanthus Modern Art has long outer petals that are marked with green at both ends. Inner markings can sometimes turn olive yellow in the sun.

We harvested a few of the carrots this morning because they were poking their shoulders out. I forget what the variety is called but they are supposed to look like this. They were neither sweet nor juicy, as I had hoped, but it's still a heck of a treat to get to eat out of the #garden in January.

You can tell that #snowdrop season has begun when #galanthus Big Boy appears in the border and says 'hello'.

This well proportioned and healthy looking flower is accompanied by blue green pointed leaves.

A must for those #carryon moments in the garden.

Galanthus Big Boy has huge, pointed spoon like petals with pale green brush marks at their tips. The green inner mark has a pronounced waistline. Not that readily available, but stops you in your tracks in the garden.

It's still very frozen here. As a measure of just how cold and frozen, Frank the fieldfare is back. He had friends with him the other day, I don't know where they are now but Frank is very much staying put for his apples...
