@dregin My local timeline is broken but everything else looks fine. There are 3 posts in total in Local and they are not current. Same thing in web and Metatext. Any ideas?
@paraic Timelines needed to rebuild after yesterday's DB migration, but that completed a couple of hours later. This sounds like a symptom of that not being complete, though.
@paraic Will take a look and get back to you.
@elliottucker @dregin @paraic hope that’s not a euphemism…
@TinyExplosions @dregin @paraic “walk the dog”. Ewww
@elliottucker @dregin @paraic Newcastle Brown Ale is commonly referred to as ‘dog’ oop norf, as “i’m off to walk the dog” was a common excuse for visiting the pub…
@TinyExplosions @dregin @paraic I did not know that! And I should have done considering the vast amounts of it I imbibed in my youth...but I was daan saaaf which probably explains it.
@TinyExplosions @elliottucker @dregin @paraic mmm Newcastle. With or without dog.
@alisca I'm happy with that as an explanation
@paraic @dregin based on watching ALL of star trek, I'll bet it's one of those quantum filament yokes. Is anyone around phasing in and out of existence? #unHelpful
@paraic can you check again now?
@dregin looks the same, I'm afraid
@paraic To confirm, you're seeing this both in a web browser and an app?
cc: @mastohost @Gargron
@mastohost @Gargron @dregin yes - sorry for delay in reply
@Gargron @dregin @mastohost an update of sorts - 1 new toot has appeared in my local timeline!
@paraic @Gargron @mastohost One?! Are you're not looking at your personal timeline and have only followed a small number of folks? This is very strange, if not!
@paraic @Gargron @mastohost eehhh "sure* you're not"
This keyboard hates me
@paraic @Gargron @mastohost Hate to do it, but could you try logging out and back in again?
@dregin @Gargron @mastohost Tried that again just now but to no avail
@dregin @Gargron @mastohost It is very strange and I know I could have done something odd but I've got this
@paraic @Gargron @mastohost Can you check dev tools in your browser for any errors?
@paraic @Gargron @mastohost What browser is it?
Does its dev tools have a window dedicated to web sockets? They're used to populate the timelines.
@dregin @Gargron @mastohost Safari 16.1 on macos 13.0.1 and chrome 107.0.5304.110 also Safari on ios 16.1 and Metatext app on ios - none are displying the correct local timeline
@dregin @Gargron @mastohost because it's happening everywhere I assumed it wasn't a client or user agent issue
@paraic @Gargron @mastohost no, but it would be handy to see if there was at least something there to point us in the right direction. I'm seeing very similar warnings and errors in Safari here, but my local timeline is complete.
Could you have a rogue filter set?
@dregin @Gargron @mastohost only one filter. I deleted it and reloaded but the same result
@dregin @Gargron @mastohost I have to go cook the dinner. Thanks for spending time on this.
