This is your forewarning that I am close to out of adderall, and if today when I skipped one is any forewarning I am going to be a mess with so much brain fog and withdrawal if I can’t find some more

After almost a year of interrupted or unavailable #Adderall I finally have a new psych NP and a new prescription for #Vyvanse and I’m almost in tears imagining actually being able to do my job, manage relationships, !READ! without constant force and terror of failure. I needed to try something new anyways, Adderall effectiveness was reducing after 7+ years, although I’m not looking forward to the month long process to find the right dose again.

The #adderallshortage was supposed to be over by now! Argh!! It is getting really old having to call every pharmacy in a 60 mile radius. Really really old.

Question for people who take #Adderall and get their prescriptions filled via mail-order pharmacies: have you been able to get your prescription consistently during the #AdderallShortage?

I'm looking at switching my prescriptions to a mail-order pharmacy, and it occurred to me that I might be able to take Adderall for my ADHD again if I could get it filled consistently. (Dealing with withdrawal every month or two made it a net negative for me in the past.)

Waking up and not worrying about rationing my medication is a great feeling. The monthly ritual of trying to refill in an ongoing shortage is mental torture.

YAY psych appointment day, the day I get to call every pharmacy in the city to find out who has Adderall in stock. FUN.

Oh! After all the ranting I've done about the #AdderallShortage in the US, I *finally* managed to get my prescription filled, thanks almost entirely to my amazing wife calling every pharmacy in the area. It can be done! I mean, not by me without already having my medication, but by other people at least. #ADHD

There's still an #adderallshortage here in the US and it's wild that I have to call around to different pharmacies in the area to be told they're out.

Me getting to experience all the ‘harm’ parts of ‘harm reduction’ again as the #ADHD #adderallshortage drags on. Just frantically reminding myself that I only have to survive this for an unknown short period of time and not forever.

Only a few minutes into listening to The #AdderallShortage episode of #TodayExplained podcast, and I'm already so pleased that they are telling the story of what it's like for those of us who are suffering right now due to a lack of medication. Thank you for telling our stories, @Vox !

Pharmacy operator seemed surprised when I thanked him for confirming that I had done nothing wrong and that it was purely a shortage issue.

I’m trying out being British and drinking earl grey with a splash of oat milk. Hopefully supply comes back eventually??

The shortage announced in October is still ongoing, and it’s making patients, providers, and psychiatrists’ lives much more difficult.

Andy's reminder pinged. She acknowledged it and went to take her second daily dose of Adderall, thankful to live in a world where medicine producers never just decided it was okay to be short on something people need to function. She felt happy to be in a timeline where she could focus for more than five minutes rather than one of the ones where she would be an unmedicated mess crying in a corner when she was supposed to be working.

**Current complication: "atypical ear infection" requiring antibiotics, but since I'm allergic to the most common one used for ears, I have to try something different. Yay.

Taking a writing class at the same time as my brain medicine ran out of stock has been... an experience.
