Good turnout for the 1pm protest. No trouble. A few terfs hung around at the back with a suffragette flag (which infuriated me!).
I didn’t go to the 6pm protest, but looks to have been an even bigger turnout from online reports.

After 28 years of living in Birmingham, I’ve just had my first Big John’s.
In Birmingham library we saw very detailed, tiny, handwritten texts as street names on maps.
Next, in the pen museum we saw the precision instruments that the cartographers probably used. The sales samples of the pens, illustrating thier use, are fabulous artworks
Curved baselines appear as a common feature in branding typographies. In this example, the first and last letters of the last line are treated to special flourishes. The 3 'A's are all different depending on thier location.

It's a real shame that West Midlands mayor #RichardParker doesn't seem to value or want to take road safety and #ActiveTravel seriously - if he did, he'd pay a proper wage rather than a "small honorarium". After all, you get what you pay for.

Was in Digbeth again tonight. Saw someone else driving on the wrong side of the road, so don’t feel so bad now. It was a dual carriageway for years and now one side is for trams only and the other is two-way traffic. Luckily it’s only 20 mph there! #Digbeth #BirminghamUK
Went to a small venue called Pan-Pan for the first time last night and it is so good. Loads of comfy seats. It was just like being at home!
Digbeth High Street is really nice now! It’s now down to one lane each way, with the tram lines on the other side. And it’s lined with skinny parklets.
I *may* have accidentally driven down the wrong side of the road for a bit 
, but that’s because there was so little traffic.
