Weird question, but does anyone have a connection to David Sedaris? A friend saw him and said this:
"When we saw David Sedaris, it was a good event, but he did say one thing that I was ITCHING to correct. He talked about how he and his friend carved their initials into a box turtle's shell when they were children. He also said that it didn't hurt the turtle because 'they don't have sensory nerves in the shell'. This is absolutely FALSE. Their shells are made of living tissue, mostly bone, and they are able to feel when they are even being gently touched.
I wish I knew how to contact him to educate about this!"
I don't know who he is, beyond "an author", but if someone would pass on the note, it would mean a lot. ty

We were lucky enough to get tickets for a recording of ‘Meet David Sedaris’ by BBC Radio at the Tabernacle in London today. Some of the family stories he shared were very sad, but he was typically witty and wise and I cried with laughter more than I have for a long time. It’s planned for broadcast in February/March and well worth your time if you enjoy his work. #radio4 #davidsedaris
