Is it possible not asking pertinent questions and tenaciously clinging to Received Answers happened on both sides? Economics and GDP for example.
We have numerous and escalating retraction problems in many academic disciplines, but heaped up, eventually a paradigm shift happens. It took Copernicus until Kepler! #doughnuteconomics for example?
As Cage remarked, some are afraid of new ideas, I'm afraid of the old ones. I've yet to hear our local politicos even mention Piketty.
