We watched the PGF 12U Premier division championship game on YouTube. An Alabama team vs a Texas team.
The Alabama team had players who live in Louisiana and Tennessee, and some from Alabama were hundreds of miles from where the team plays. At 12-13 years old. One kid traveled 7 hours every weekend to play with the team. There is something wrong with how this works if 12U teams have 500 mile radius recruiting areas.

It was another weekend of softball, back in Stockton. So, no new wildlife shots (unless you count shots of wild 10 year old girls). Instead, here is a face mask and glove tossed in the dirt at the end of a game while they go to thank the other team for a good game.
Finished selecting, editing and sharing the photos from the #SorcererWilliams 10U softball team’s weekend tournament. In time to repeat it again this coming weekend. We’ll be back in Stockton, this time for a #PGF tournament.
I’d love one of those fancy f/2.8 400mm prime lenses, but I can’t justify even 1/10th the price of those, so my “cheap” RF100-400 will have to suffice.
Results for the day. The last game doesn’t count for us (they take the first three games for seeding, but with an odd number of teams signed up some play 4 games).
Yup, that’s hot. The 10 year old played four games of softball in this. Three wins and one loss. Not bad for the team’s first tournament day together.
We’re back again tomorrow for the bracket play.

Jongste dochter heeft afgelopen seizoen pitching training gegeven aan pupillen. Een pupil wilde graag 1:1 training en Nina heeft dit een keer in de week er naast gedaan. Deze pupil werd gekozen tot most valuable player van het team en is heel erg gegroeid. Vandaag kwam er per post een lief kaartje met een pakketje. #softbal #fastpitchsoftball
