It was a gorgeous day today hiking in the White Mountains, New Hampshire. Made it to a nice waterfall, deep in the wilderness. More pics to come! #FootpathFriday #hiking #mountains

I'm not ready for Summer to end yet. Seeing some more signs of Autumn, slowly creeping in, on my park walks.

Good day!
I’m off to hike in the Rattlesnake Wilderness this morning. It requires that I reach the trailhead around sunrise so I have enough time.
Lately, doing a little drafting in the morning, then editing the rest of the day has been energizing me. I’m grateful.
Be everwell.
I was a #ParkRun tourist last weekend, visiting the new Willie Blake location in #Tucson. This course is an out-and-back at a high enough point in the city that you get awesome views of all four mountain ranges surrounding our valley. And I got to run alongside a roadrunner! Attached is my sketch of the first one I saw near the course (up on a telephone line!) The second one ran along the trail.
My early lunch view today from near the summit of Pemetic Mtn, Acadia, Maine, US. #hiking #NationalParks #Acadia #GetOutSide

Good day!
Yesterday morning I changed things up. After my walk, I worked on drafting a backstory novella that’s linked to Book7.
How refreshing!
Yoga for mind & fingers.
Then, after a break for a late breakfast, I edited another chapter in Book4 & felt refreshed.
Be everwell.
Canceling my sailing plans due to the effects on local weather and sea conditions from Hurricane Erin moving up the coast. No lack of adventures to do—- heading up tomorrow to the White Mountains, NH to get in some overdue hiking! (image credit: NOAA/NWS) #sailing #hiking #GetOutside

Good day!
Each day has been 80-90F (26.6-32.2C) lately, which is comfortable, but also the most consistently hot we’ve been all summer.
Seems late in the summer for it to actually become summer, but that’s the climate these days.
Meanwhile, the days grow shorter.
Be everwell.

Meandering through forests is time well spent
No man is mightier than #MotherNature.
Final camping trip of summer is in the books... looking at larger tents for my 6'2" son for next time... he's tired of not being able to stretch out his legs in his little pop-up!
Today’s local #bike shop adventures: a very extroverted retired woman who is living her absolute best life touring all over the world (Thailand to Malaysia! Camino de Santiago! France and Germany!) recommended that I sign up on https://www.warmshowers.org, a customer bought a Transition mountain bike and I’m so impressed at how they’re such powerful beautiful pieces of machinery and engineering, and a woman in her 70s casually looking for an e-bike (or a folding bike) so she can #GetOutside!
Twenty-some seconds of beavers chewing and mewing to take your mind off the disgusting state of the world today. The sounds you hear in the background are two or three other beavers playing behind the one chewing. #Hiking #GetOutside #AltText
