#WARNING

#ICEBlock app found to be hosted on old unpatched Apache web server and founder is completely dismissive of vulnerability report

I just want to point out that activism is full of activist theater. You really need to watch out for people trying to make a name for themselves because they will endanger everyone in the movement just to make a buck or some attention.

Just seeing how this guy responded to Micah, I would neeeeever ever promote this app, or anything this guy ever does. Watch out!

Avelo Airlines took millions in subsidies from Oregon & California—then ditched service to run ICE deportation flights for profit. This is corporate welfare turned human rights abuse. No more taxpayer money for companies aiding mass deportation. CEO: Andrew Levy

Pam #Bondi’s #Justice Department has fired the wife of the man who developed a controversial “anti-ICE” warning system after Laura Loomer attacked her on X.
Carolyn Feinstein, who is married to #ICEBlock developer Joshua Aaron, had served as a forensic accountant at the DOJ’s Office of the U.S. Trustee for almost a decade. On Friday she received an email from the department informing her that her position would be terminated.

“This was retribution. I was fired because of the actions, or activism, of my husband,” Feinstein told the Daily Beast Monday. “It is insulting to me because I dedicated myself and my career to serving the people of the United States, and now the #DOJ is claiming I was attempting to harm some of them. And that’s not true.”

This is some “worship the dear leader or else” shit right here. Also a reminder to download ICEBlock.

re: ICE Block app

might wanna install the APK from... not the Google Play store. Just in case.

...IF THEY HAD ONE.

If you see any ICE Block Android APKs floating around, they are not legit (or more accurately, not with their blessing; they're sticking with the IOS ecosystem for privacy concerns).

I believe Portland’s activist community and local residents, including Latino youth, would likely organize significant resistance if ICE intensifies its enforcement operations there, similar to what we’re witnessing in California and Los Angeles. Portland has a long history of strong community organizing and protest activity, earning it the nickname ‘Little Beirut’ due to its reputation for radical dissent. The demographics and political climate in Portland are distinct from other cities, which likely influences ICE’s operational planning and explains why they’ve been relatively low in activity in Portland, Oregon. I hope tensions don’t escalate, as Portland’s activist community has consistently demonstrated their willingness to mobilize when they perceive their community is under threat. I don’t believe ICE would be able to establish a militarized presence in Portland comparable to the one they have in Los Angeles. I’m calling Tim Homan’s bluff; he knows the federal government’s visit to Portland last time didn’t go well.
