1. Using colour alone as a #visual #indicator is not a good idea as many people won't be able to read the menu correctly. 🚫

2. With this specific colour choice in particular, it becomes almost impossible for people with red-green #colour #blindness to read the menu. 🚫

3. The paper chosen to print the menu has a rough texture and a light brown colour. Combined with the dim lighting in the restaurant, it is almost impossible to understand the icons. 🚫

I love my #Car, it's very #Distinguished. If setting an #Indicator, it starts blinking as any other car I've driven before. But if the lever returns to its original neutral position the blinking doesn't stop immediately. So, no "click-clack-click-clack-click-clack-click-cl", and it turns off. The last "clack" is still fully done. Despite the lever has shut the initial electrical circuit down it completes the cycle by advanced 2001 #Electronics, and keeps me smiling every time...

We setup Tailscale at work, and so now I have two tailnets I need to switch between fairly often. Which has me opening up a terminal more than I'd like ("tailscale switch --list", "tailscale switch").

What I'd like is an indicator that works on Ubuntu that allows me to toggle between them in a menu. I can't seem to find such a thing. But it seems too obvious not to exist. (Tailscale seems to include this in their client for OSX)

This #NPR 'The #Indicator' episode totally missed the mark. They found a random 'expert' who tried to sound smart by being contrarian and playing the 'both sides' card (blaming both Left and Right for not understanding the 'nuances' of gun violence).

It totally ignores the root cause: the absurd abundance and availability of guns in the American society.

The sloppy analysis and lazy production is disappointing. It damages NPR's brand.

You can be forgiven for looking at the #Indicator releases of Mexican b-movies and thinking they’re just dressing up trash in fancy packaging, but the supplemental materials do a good job of arguing for the cultural value of the #movies, and you feel you’re getting a bit of a history lesson about Mexican cinema, not just a beautifully restored film. Hope there are more coming.
