For my third book of the year, I went back to 1991 for #JohnSandford's #EyesOfPrey, the third of the #LucasDavenport novels.

Very fun, somewhat disturbing book. The main baddie, Michael Bekker, has to be the most disturbed (and probably the most evil) of the killers of the 8 "Preys" I've read. I deal in healthcare, and how he abused his position to access victims in a hospital was something a bit too much for me.

So, with my summer resting time coming to a close soon, I finished another of the #LucasDavenport books: #ChosenPrey (2001).

Very fun, Qatar (the bad guy) was very well written, twisted, I loved to hate him. I just wish Barstad had remained alive.

Lucas was very mild this time, not doing anything outright illegal, but also somewhat stupid in one final decision.

The quality felt similar to #CertainPrey, a bit lower than #EasyPrey

So, having finished a book 3 days ago, now I finished another one 😅 ... "Easy #Prey" (2000), by #JohnSandford.
Probably the most fun I've had so far with the series and liked that it was a #thriller where we don't know #whodunnit, as opposed to the others I've read in the series. The humor was also on point for this one, and #LucasDavenport got some character development.

Now the question is: do I follow that with #LorrieMoore or #JohnUpdike?

Just finished "Sudden Prey", by John Sandford. It's about on par with the latest, "Righteous Prey" and a bit lesser than "Certain Prey". Snappy and quick read that took long because of responsibilities.
Dick LaChaise was a bitter moron, but Sandy Darling was a decent counterpart. Martin was just creepy.
Davenport is certainly angrier than in latter books, but I think he's more reckless in "Certain Prey", at least.

Edit: correct @
