I give up.

I saw an article on the discovery of a new species of antarctic feather stars. Really cool looking sea creature!

But it was all "oh don't worry! It looks like something from "Alien" but it's harmless" Oh FFS.

Another said it was "barf". Seriously??

Another called it "large" but I don't think 8" is a LARGE SEA CREATURE.

One said it was found in the Indian Ocean, others say Southern Ocean.

Anyway, go find your own article.

Close up. A bumpy "strawberry shape" with 10 or so long skinny tendril like things coming out of each side that curve upwards. The are striped and remind me of the long antenna on shrimp. Above that in the center are thicker knobby things that all stem from one. Reminds me a little of how coral grows but from other pics of the ends, they are very flowy and flexible. The whole thing is sort of a dirty light beige color. Sorry for the weird description. I tried!
