Seven of Nine eating and reaction for the first time since being liberated from the Borg collective is not too dissimilar to me trying to eat something while dealing with sensory overload and/or having a depleted social and mental battery.
When Data initiated a dream sequence in the TNG episode "Birthright", it included a raven, which symbolized Data.
Seven of Nine had flashbacks that included a raven, but in this case the raven symbolized the USS Raven.
