@Tooden SRS is not surgery? 😮🤷‍♀️🤯

I think we must be at cross-purposes here somehow. #SRS is the acronym for #SexReassignmentSurgery, though it has several [sometimes country-specific] similar names with associated acronyms [eg, #GAS #GenderAffirmationSurgery, #GRS #GenitalReconfigurationSurgery].

Around the period of my research into & then having of SRS in the early Oughties, there were some people using the entirely silly "definition" of #GRS as "Gender Reassignment Surgery" [silly & wrong coz the entire problem of #GenderDysphoria is that we need to fix our bodies to match our self-known gender identity, not the other way around. I truly hope that incorrect term has died out by now].

In any event, semantics aside, they all mean the same surgical procedure [in the overview, anyway, though there's variants of specific techniques].

I was/am so critical of the article coz "castration" is not simply misleading, but is specifically the sort of inflammatory pejorative used by despicable transphobes & transmisics in pursuit of their ignorant RWNJ christofascism.

Update :

I never considered before my transition that I might have curly hair. It had never entered into my mind, then bang as soon as it it started growing out. It might not be what I imagined or how I picture myself, but now it's just part of who I am.

The challenge has been learning the ins and outs of the curly girl method. Getting the right products, plopping, and using a diffuser. It's all one big learning curve.

Just had a call with my Endo. Quite pleasant, I even turned down an offer for a higher dose, because it would have required me to take gel twice per day instead of just once. (My Estradiol is at 375 pmol∕l, well within their target range of 300-600 pmol∕l, but since this was not just a trough value, but actually delayed compared to the previous day, I figured that the typical value during the day is higher and that I’d rather have slightly lower values, but not deal with using gel twice per day.)

I also took the chance to ask about my other values, since I did loose a lot of weight and was told that my liver and Cholesterol improved, which would be consistent with that and is nice to hear. Sadly they didn’t include hematologic tests (hemoglobin, hemocrit, …) this time, so I’ll go to my GP for that, but after discussing it they will include it next time.

My Vitamin D is still low (
barely outside the reference range, which is apparently the large majority of people in NL), which would not be concerning, except that I already take supplements, so I’ll probably increase my intake there and we will check it again in 4 months.

My Prolactin is good now, but I requested to have it checked one more time, just to make sure. (It was high when I was still taking Cypro, which can indicate a problem, so I’ld prefer to be safe there.)
