I want to create a shortcut on my homescreen to either of the screens in these screenshots. I'm using Android 14, and the Nova launcher which allows me to do this but I cannot figure out which of the possible intents/activities is the one I want. I'm assuming it starts something like com.google.android. etc.

Can anyone help me out?

Does anyone know of a way to stop apps from making the navigation bar in Android (14) transparent, or from hiding it completely?

I prefer to have it visible and opaque at all times.

I see that there are some apps on the Play Store that claim to do this, and I suppose I could use a different launcher but, rather than take pot luck, it would be nice to have recommendations.

Der Akku meines #xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ hat starke 5.000 mA Leistung. Das Gerät verbraucht aber dennoch mehr Strom bzw. ist das Betriebssystem #android14 wohl längst nicht so optimiert, wie es #ios18_1 ist. Abends hatte ich dennoch gut 30-40 Prozent Akku ...

Heh, so I updated this Pixel 6 phone to Android 14 to better test my download issue. After installing and rebooting the touch screen no longer works. The physical buttons work but no touches are registered so I can't even reboot the damn thing. I am not an Android fan and was not expecting much, but damn, this is bad. I guess I have to wait a day or two for the phone to run out of battery and reboot itself and hope that fixes the touch screen.

Meine PixelWatch 2 bekommt gerade das Wear OS 5 Android 14 update. Die Installation läuft seit 1h. Es ist schon interessant wie selbst auf solch kleinen Geräten Updates massiv Zeit und Ressourcen benötigen. Toll natürlich, dass es Updates und neue Funktionen gibt.

Ondersteunt Android 14 NTFS?
(ik lees wel over de mogelijkheid dat Android14 het wellicht gaat ondersteunen, maar geen bevestiging of t ook zo is ondertussen. )

Update: Android14 op Fairphone kan in elk geval niet standaard met NTFS overweg.

Update2: waar Android nergens NTFS ondersteunt, blijkt mn Android TV beamer (model 2020) gewoon NTFS out-of-the-box te vreten..

Hey, hat sonst noch wer Probleme, das Update auf Android 14 hinzukriegen? Bei mir kommt immer sofort "Download fehlgeschlagen". Ich habe Internet (sonst würdet ihr nicht diesen Trööt lesen) und ich habe genug Speicherplatz.

Hopefully I can replace Whatsapp with Signal in the near future, as I don't like Whatsapp, nor do I want it on my device, or touch it... One day when I get a #fairphone5 I'll be able to have my truly de-googled and (mostly) FLOSS life.

Does Nova launcher have a tip jar or something? Or an optional $1 dollar donation subscription or something?

It's too good of a thing to let it fall by the wayside. If they can't get people tipping a little bit, then I guess they should require a 1 dollar yearly fee or something like that. Right? Would a dollar a year from all users keep it running smoothly? 2 dollars? What would it take?
