Next PoE capable switch arrived from kleinanzeigen.de. This one hopefully supports #OpenWrt and #DSA out-of-the-box and has some progress towards #IGMP / #MLD snooping support. Hoping that it might be the pick to get #multicast running in our hackspace at the #Nobreakspace. There's still work on multicast router ports needed though.
But before I get started on this one, need to document+upload my previous progress on getting #OpenWrt running on the #Dlink DGS-1210-10P **B1** to the OpenWrt wiki.

This week, it’s a buffer overflow in six router products. In #SBBlogwatch, we wonder what next week’s will be. At @TechstrongGroup’s @SecurityBlvd: securityboulevard.com/2024/11/

Owners of older models of DLink #VPN routers are being told to retire & replace their devices following disclosure of a serious #RCE #vulnerability.

#Unauthenticated RCE issues are essentially as bad as #vulnerabilities get, & D-Link warned that if customers continued to use the affected products, the devices connected to them would also be put at risk

Critical bug in EoL #DLink #NAS devices now exploited in attacks
While Shadowserver said it spotted just over Internet-exposed 1,100 D-Link NAS devices, Netsecfish said it found over 41,000 unique IP addresses online
"Products that have reached their EOL/EOS no longer receive device software updates and security patches and are no longer supported by D-Link. D-Link US recommends retiring and replacing D-Link devices that have reached EOL/EOS," the company said.
