“No one will take away from Sinwar October 7, his military master plan that destroyed forever the myth of Israeli invincibility and revealed it to be nothing more than an elaborate façade.”

Monument of Struggle-Martyrdom-Victory, Ciechanów, Poland

The monument was dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the Polish Army and the Home Army from the Ciechanów Land. It was created on the initiative of living former soldiers gathered in the circuit of the World Association of Home Army Soldiers. It was placed at the intersection of Armii Krajowej and Gen. Władysława Sikorskiego streets.

The place commemorating the soldiers of the Polish Army and Home Army was designed by the artist Marek Zalewski. The central part is a several-ton erratic boulder with a military eagle and the sign of Fighting Poland. Next to it, there is the main plaque with the inscription: “In tribute to the inhabitants of Ciechanów - soldiers of the Polish Army and Home Army, who fell in the fight for the homeland in 1939-1956 - from the society of Ciechanów and living veterans of the Home Army”.

On both sides of the boulder there are smaller stones dedicated to:
- murdered by Nazi Germany,
- exiles to Siberia,
- those who died on the fronts of World War II,
- fallen in partisan fights and the Warsaw Uprising,
- murdered by Stalinist Russia,
- murdered by the Polish communist Security Office.

The Marvel of Martyrdom: The Power of Self-Sacrifice in a Selfish World by Sophia Moskalenko & Clark McCauley

The Marvel of Martyrdom takes a broad perspective on self-sacrifice and martyrdom, bringing together religion, popular culture, history, psychology and mythology. Stories of individuals both famous (Gandhi) and obscure (Rodrigo Rosenberg) intertwine with research on altruism, happiness, and radicalization to terrorism.

Four #Houthi speedboats turned into submarines, ten marauding fighters sent to sleep with the fishes in the #Redsea and enjoy #martyrdom by the Navy of the #UnitedStates.
Maybe #China could ask its best buddy #Iran to put its proxies on a leash before shit truly hits the fan? This is about global #trade at a moment where the #economy is not doing that well. Nobody is waiting for some swashbuckling proxies to further deteriorate the situation at hand. #NearEast #seafreight #MiddleEast

Many hold an aversion to the term
"#SocialJustice Warrior"

That's quite a hot seat topic, & like all things #socialmedia, it's better to discuss it with #sincerity, #intelligence, & #heart — instead of #bias, #fanaticism, & #martyrdom 😉

"Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured. Let marriage be held in honour by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers. Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, ‘I will never leave you or forsake you.’ So we can say with confidence,
‘The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?’

"Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings; for it is well for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by regulations about food, which have not benefited those who observe them. We have an altar from which those who officiate in the tent have no right to eat. For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the city gate in order to sanctify the people by his own blood. Let us then go to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured. For here we have no lasting city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God."

- The Epistle to the Hebrews
