Seeing clueless white men try to defend things that are definitely slavery by saying they're not really slavery is... Well, not surprising. Seeing their depthless arguments being torn apart by multiple people smarter/wiser than them (and me) is nice though.

This is how the white left polices Black bodies while maintaining the optics of equitable, revolutionary praxis, simultaneously upholding white supremacy and the privileges it gives them.
Activist spaces are meant to be safe and they need to be safe for everyone, especially Black women and Black queer folks. . . We can't claim to support Black women and femmes in our rhetoric while not doing it in our actions. . .
Our spaces must be informed by a committed intersectional politic.

Assimilation, while is a general, technically accurate, doesn't immediately inform you about the identity of #whiteness deliberately created as a carrot and stick, an instrument of division, violence, exploitation, extraction, and class oppression.
Fact 1
Unlike Welsh, Irish, Scottish, Danish, Norwegian, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish cultures that grew organically, whiteness was a legal fiction created from pseudo-science, hubris, naked greed and pathological ambition.
Fact 2
In the US, only those who could prove Anglo-Saxon ancestry were at first legally accepted as white. In historic context, Ben Franklin and peers believed Germans, the future super race, were not considered white, nor it was believed, ever assimilate Anglo-Saxon culture and values required for America citizenship.
Ready-made rationales for self-deception were from the beginning important to indoctrination, and spreading propagandized apologetics required for forging #white identity.

When folks talk about oppression and bias and privilege and attempting to correct for it, these folks don’t feel like they’re being included in the correction; they feel like they’re part of the privileged class that’s *paying* for the correction. And that’s just because of language, right? “Ethnic minorities” and “underserved populations” are widely taken to mean, “not the set of people who get called white.” It makes me sad, particularly when I consider that really, these are a key part of the coalition currently in power.
Are there any more folks with scientific credentials in my timeline with who want to claim Diversity Equity and Inclusion is based on invalid assumptions, is ethically wrong, and demonstrably harmful to society?
If you believe in the pursuit of truth, then why the centuries of intellectual dishonestly and utter cowardice? Why the lies and violence when you could stand up on your hind legs and prove what you say is true?
Where is the new validation of scientific sexism, racialization, eugenics?
I mean, it seems odd that not a single person beating the drum of #whiteness, #patriarchy and European Male superiority today, has ever disclosed peer-reviewed evidence and summarily ended all argument.

More nuanced than the knee-jerk old school Oreo, Apple, or contemporary Bougie, and not exclusively male.
It's the uncritical embracing of an entire ecosystem self-deceptions prepared in advance that enables anyone to buy into a primarily racialized and gendered class based Ponzi scheme, while feeling good about themselves.
This actually includes poor whites who for generations have been treated as and literally called trash, but instead of allying themselves with #BIPoC in the struggle for justice, fight even harder for the sake of #whiteness.
