Deleted the fb page of the student folk festival I founded way back when (since ended). We'd kept the page open for posterity, but as Meta openly conflicts with the values that were in our constitution we can't really keep it up. I hope one day to get all my documents from it to an archive, but it'll have to wait until post-PhD.

The 65th Annual U-Chicago Folk Festival is scheduled for Friday, February 7 at 8pm and Saturday, February 8 at 7:30pm at University of Chicago's Mandel Hall, 1131 E. 57th Street, in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood on the Univ of Chicago campus. A live stream link will also be available.

Enjoy artists from a variety of genres-- including Blues, Bluegrass, Irish Folk, Old-time, and more.

Free music, dance, and folklore workshops will be held on Saturday, February 8, from 10 am to 5 pm at Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th Street. Workshops do not require tickets.

Ticket prices are $20 for seniors, $5 for students, and $30 for the general public. Group ticket rates of $15 are available for organizations only, with 15+ attendees. Tickets are going on sale Wednesday, January 15. See our website for more details.
