@capntransit This is an argument for taking a lane of the #HenryHudsonParkway northbound for use by #HudsonRiverGreenway. State and city will save tons of money that would have been spent fixing cave ins and repaving.

@davidzipper Interesting. This NYC resident find himself calling NYS DOT more often than NYC DOT. Fortunately, NYS DOT roads are administered by residents of NYC. However the big decisions are likely made by people who don't live in NYC.
Ended up calling two numbers. 917-885-1008 and that of Marie Therese Dominguez's number 518-457-4422 and in each case spoke to a human being who said they'd pass the message along.

Last night there was a terrible collision on the Henry Hudson parkway. The HHP was closed and all traffic diverted to Riverside. This was all done without notice. It proved that six lanes on the HHP are not necessary. The hhp could be converted to a boulevard which would make it much safer and eliminate most of these collisions.

Speeding is rampant on the HHP. A car flipped off the HHP last week onto the Cherry Walk greenway because of speeding.
