@capntransit This is an argument for taking a lane of the #HenryHudsonParkway northbound for use by #HudsonRiverGreenway. State and city will save tons of money that would have been spent fixing cave ins and repaving.

@Tooden Speed cameras here too. Just not enough and aren't on many roads. Ah. another thing to mention to my local NYState Dept of Transportation office. Have never seen a speed camera on a NYState road. These roads have a limit between 55 and 65mph, but people routinely do 75 or more. One near me has a limit of 50 and they routinely do 60 and have clocked one at 70 with a borrowed speed gun. Will ask the person at the Long Island City office of #NYSDOT Monday when they open.

The hubris of the NYS DOT is incredible. The only true thing they said was that the bridges are falling apart. Let them. The presenter tried to present the project as something helping the Bronx. Hah!

First link has a list of electeds to harangue. Supposedly this project passed environmental review (#NEPA). Hah! #NYSDOT and #NYCDOT have proven time and time again to be worthless and misleading. This is no exception.
Please slow down in highway work zones. Those folks do a hard job and deserve to get home to their families safely.
