One of my other goals for 2025 was to cut back on my usage of FreeTube.
I love that it blocks ads and trackers, and it has SponsorBlock integration, but I'm still watching way to much stuff from a capitalist platform and its creators.
Starting this weekend, I'm gonna unsubscribe from most creators on FreeTube and shift towards PeerTube full time.

Anybody have recommendations for interesting #musician-oriented apps on #android? Was away from my various tinkering tools tonight and so far played with Semitone (#fdroid), Koala Sampler (paid) and I've got #lsdj running in lemuroid.
Just playing around and making fun noises, prefer #opensource or free tools, but if it's something interesting I'm not above paid apps (as long as there's no subscription).
I have a stylus for my phone too, so can press many tiny buttons on the screen.

On #Google Messages tab, it blocks 11% of such content. On #Facebook Messanger, 6%. On #Instagram 5%.
On #Mastodon, #Element, #PixelFed none. 0.

My Tile tracker batteries are starting to die and they aren't replaceable. Does anyone have a recommendation for other Android compatible trackers? How about the Pebblebee Tag for Android? Or Chipolo? I'm flying soon and would like to track my checked bags.

@cd0 Wow. What a horrible approach of #Digikey. If I have a #proxy, does that solve the problem ? Can I then leave all their tracker crap on and not care less? Or do I need a "quarantined" web session that I then toast? Or use #tails ? Or have I not understood? Why is this so hard? I have a bucketload of #Kindle books, so not closing my account. That said, I haven't actually purchased anything from an #Amazon-connected anything for several years.
#Unsubscribe from their #emails, or send them directly to your #spam bucket. Delete any #browser #bookmarks.
(BTW, I highly recommend the #VivaldiWebBrowser, which I've been using for awhile.
Aside from #blocking #trackers and #ads, my favorite #feature is a toggle to force #darkMode on every page.
