It’s funny how the foundations of the greatest western movies of the 60s (Dollars Trilogy, Django etc.) were set by a director from far east. But of course, if you go towards east far enough you reach the west.

That it is cool and funnier than you think? Maybe something controversial, like; I like it just as much as Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo?

Watched the third filming of #RedHarvest and if it's the least of them it's only because the first two (#Yojimbo and #AFistfulofDollars) are such great movies. #LastManStanding had great #WalterHill dialog and awful Walter Hill voice over and how did I fail to notice what a terrible actor #BruceWillis was for so long. Still, I enjoyed it, lots of good character performances, shootouts. The best Red Harvest is yet to be filmed.

I did this Usagi Yojimbo piece late last year, it was meant to be an A2 size poster limited to just 25 pieces (which I will still be doing for next year's Con circuit).
Looking at it now, and thinking just how much I love drawing Mastro Stan Sakai's most excellent creation, I'm now pondering doing a "Vivaldi Four Seasons" style series, this one being "Winter"! Think I'll do Autumn next
