I found one feather lice bug on Chester's wing. Squished it and looked for more but didn't see any. Guess I'm calling the vet to get an appointment scheduled earlier than anticipated. :(

Will be checking his feathers like mad and cleaning his house + area to keep it from getting worse.

Luckily lice is like one of the easier less scary things I've had to deal with for #budgie issues.

Budgie!

I'm a proponent of natural use of limbs, snouts, and beaks in animation (instead of making human-like feather hands etc). It shows how diverse interaction with the world can be, from the animal perspective, and breaks up the monotony of the human bias :D

Everytime I let them out for playtime Marvin (the blue one) always visits Oscar's house. Oscar is a bit scared of leaving his sleeper cage due to past trauma from his previous owners, so seeing him on his "front porch" willingly is a pretty Big Deal.
