Started using a new #Pomodoro desktop timer called Flowkeeper. It's GPL-3.0 licensed and cross-platform. I like how it is also a task manager.

@shellsharks I know that feeling ... I'm a 3rd dan at it, but that's why I'm trying to get rid with the help of the #pomodoro method
How I use the #pomodoro method for my work, but not only.

The good stuff of 12 Feb 2025:
- applying pomodoro-with-notes again to ensure to concentrate on work. Every 25 min I note what I am doing at that very minute, then I stand and stretch or walk a bit, and back to next pomodoro. Catched myself procrastinating only once, and that was stopped as soon as I had to write it down.
- made a chicory oven dish that reconciled me with the vegetable
- only one side of crochet bubbles left on the shawl I'm making!

I've been using a neat little Pomodoro timer called focusTide for a week now.
I like it, so I figured other people might enjoy it too. Its free and open source uwu
been testing the #pomodoro timer in my keyboard and it’s actually a nice reminder to take some regular breaks. only works if you don’t have to schedule it around meetings though

Marcin ‘mbork’ Borkowski about his version of #pomodoro which he calls #tomato: https://mbork.pl/2025-02-01_ketchup.el
Well, it sounds to me that the pomodoro method is not working for him for the same reasons it was not working for me - although I only tried for a brief period of time.
Marcin found some interesting variant. I would have declared this method non-functional for me instead.
Back to using Pomodoro timers to stay on track. Always work great, its just that for some reason I always stop using them. Anyway, I really like this one - https://pomofocus.io/. I just pin the tab with it running and listen for my timers to hit.
