An interesting question for everyone who makes a game! Registering a trademark for a game name if the name is a very trivial and simple word, is it realistic? I understand that there are different options (words, pictures), that you can create text as logo + add some elements for this word, but is it possible to make a trademark out of a word only for the direction "video games"?

Heard from someone today that they were playing one of my RPG's and really enjoying it.

That really made my day!

(And I kinda needed it, too, due to some depressing discussions we were having at my day job today.)

Sometimes as a hobbyist/indie game developer, you don't really get a lot of traction or feedback for your games, which can be a little demoralizing.

So it's heartening to hear when your work actually had a positive impact on someone!

Are you working in games and do you want to take a stand against censorship?

I'm currently in the process of setting up a petition to fight against payment processors' and extremists' influence on online stores and the content they're allowed to sell.

I know there's already a pretty successful petition making its rounds, but what it neglects to mention is that a) the current developments do not only affect adult games, but also MANY (SFW) queer games and b) there's no way to know where the line will be drawn, if our freedom of expression through games will be limited even further.

Now I'm looking for people who'd like to be mentioned as initial signers, as I think a petition signed and publicly supported by people working in games will have more impact.

If you're interested, please get in touch and I'll send you the petition text.

For anyone who's a game developer, would you consider making something for an older console? (either a port or something original)

I'm thinking from the Atari 2600 to the Dreamcast. I know many games have been released for these systems, & while some are easier to create something grand than others, I'm curious to know why not many program for it. Especially as it could work to promote the game on other platforms.
